why do i even bother?
someone just tell me the answer please?!
i dont want to bother!
but since i dont actually, then why do i still care?
is altruism stupid..? is this even altruism?
im too nice to people in a stupid way perhaps?
so many unsolved and unsettled issues, i’d like to restart somewhere far, far away

shortformblog:

“The iPhone is not logging your location. Rather, it’s maintaining a database of Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers around your current location, some of which may be located more than one hundred miles away from your iPhone, to help your iPhone rapidly and accurately calculate its location when requested.”

— A statement from Apple • Revealing exactly what we pointed out last week — that Apple isn’t tracking where you are, but trying to locate your cell tower quickly. The big thing, though, is that Apple will release a software update that addresses the part of this problem — which is the crux of what the whole issue was. The next major update will encrypt it. Non-story becomes non-story again. source (via • follow)

hint:the encryption can and will be easily broken, looking at the track records of known targets… everyone knows there exists such a file which can potentially reveal a metric ton of information; its just a matter of time before the (now concentrated) efforts to cryptanalyze this file bear fruit. stenography works better than cryptography in this case. apple does it again lulz shiny white rounded hipster arousing cases, same hardware, and well you pay for the branding i guess. should’ve hidden and encrypted it first, now you’re just baiting..
